Amazon Virtual Medical Team

The AVMT is responsible for coordinating a global medical team for the treatment of disease and injuries that may occur during the swim. In addition, the AVMT has been performing research in Telemedicine technology as well as setting up future projects in Telemedicine in the remotest areas of Peru and Brazil. Furtheremore, dementia prevalence and incidence have also been assessed throughout of the areas of the swim.

The AVMT has been providing clinical expertise richly interwoven with spiritualism of the Amazon regions. For this reason we have incorporated many local regional and ministerial as well as indigenous healthcare experts into the management of healthcare needs for the duration of the project.
