Why are you doing it?
I have always been looking for the challenges of impossible and the Amazon is going to be the next one. I have previously completed all of my swims, among them the Danube, the Yangtze, the Paraná and the Mississippi River, so I am convinced I will complete my next and most challenging one. I have been swimming for years under slogan "swimming for peace, friendship and clean waters" and I decided to dedicate the Amazon Swim to the preservation of the Rain forest.

It´s never been done. Can it be done?
It´s never been done because no one ever thought it was possible. They also thought that about the Danube, the Mississippi, the Paraná and the Yangtze. Some people also think world peace and an end to starvation, poverty, and disease, are impossible. I´m here to prove nothing is impossible.

What are you future plans?
To inspire others to conquer themselves and achieve their goals. The more impossible, the better.
