Reunited
Today was essentially lost as Martin was forced to wait for the rest of the team to be rescued and the boat repaired.
He was only able to put in 19 km of swimming, mostly for the purpose of staying stretched. We were treated to dinner by the Presidente of the Regional De Ucayali, Dr. Jorge Velasquez Portocarrero. Since Martin had no clothing, he dined in the fancy restaurant barefoot, with a borrowed San Juan Cerveza T-shirt and a pair of Bermuda shorts. The evening was capped off by a happy reunion with the rest of the team. Martin is well rested and intends to swim to Iquitos as quickly as possible.
