Leaving Brazil, heading to Los Angeles

"My name is Martin Strel. You can see I’m not Lance Armstrong or Tiger Woods. Some people might say I’m a little fat or a little old. Really, I’m just a simple man. I think there´s a lot of people in the world like me. People with dreams. Big dreams. Dreams they are afraid to try to reach.

I hope they see this swim and realize we can do anything we try to accomplish, we can realize all our dreams, even save the world. I hope people remember this rainforest is our friend and stop destroying it. Most importantly, remember that it is never too late.”

News Update

Martin is recovering day by day and has spent the last ten days mostly resting in his hotel room and meeting some journalists. The night that Martin arrived in Belem, pirates attempted to rob the Cassiquiari but were turned away by the armed guards. The team was not present at the time. Borut had to be treated for a stingray wound to the foot but is feeling better now.

Martin and the team will be leaving Brazil today and heading to Los Angeles, California.

We have now started the project  “Amazon after Amazon.”

New USA phone contact numbers will be published soon.

Thank you to all of you who followed along for the last three months rooting for Martin and praying for his safety. We’ll keep posting news on this site frequently.
