Medical Consult at the Regional Hospital in Tefe, Brazil

Drs. Latifi and de Leonni Stanonik recently accompanied the team member with asthma exacerbation to the local hospital in Tefé, Hospital Regional de Tefé, a part of the Secretaria de Estado da Saúde.

Upon meeting with Dr. Roldan Cordova, we ordered a chest X-ray and asked Dr. Cordova to prescribe antibiotics. The team member’s condition has been steadily improving. 

All of medical care recieved at this hospital was provided to our team member free of charge.

We discussed our mission in Telemedicine with Dr. Cordova who was interested in learning more about our Telemedicine projects and said that he would forward the information we provided to him to the Director of the Hospital, Dr. Edlian Araújo.
