First Surgery on board

One of the Cassiquirri crewmembers burnt his right foot while operating a motorcycle. He suffered 3^rd degree burns on the medial aspect of his right foot.

S kin on his foot appeared waxy white and leathery gray.

The skin surrounding the wound was cleaned and disinfected, and the wound probed with forceps to determine its depth and locate any foreign matter. After surgical debriedement affected area was covered with Silverdiazine cream and sterile gauze. The wound was re-dressed daily and Daleron administered for pain relief.
